Mason was there in Sootopolis. And he saw something he felt like he should not have. For weeks now, he had retired into the safety of his house. Afraid to ever step back into the outside world. Ever since then as well has his Pokemon not see the light of day, kept within their Poke Balls as their master was too paranoid of putting them in danger once again.

One night, the dream came back to him. The fleeting moment when the giant beast cast its glare unto him.

*gasp*

He plunged his body forward. His clothes drenched in sweat. His heart beating unreasonably fast and his lungs gasp for air. He looked at the clock beside his bed, 3:40am. There was no way he was going back to sleep.

After he changed clothes and grabbed his scarf. He walked out of his house. As soon as he took a step outside, his Torterra, Terry, came out from his Poke Ball. ”Hi Buddy.” the boy greeted the tortoise-like Pokemon with a small smile.

They walked side by side in that quiet night. With no destination in mind.

And they ended up in Rustboro for some reason. There, Mason found himself in a Pokemon battle since the Sootopolis incident.
